Nature of Grace-part two
1. Grace is God acting freely, according to His own nature as Love;
with no promises or obligations to fulfill; and acting, of course, righteously -- in view of the cross.
2. Grace, therefore, is uncaused in the recipient:
its cause lies wholly in the GIVER, in GOD.
Question: If I am not the cause for God bestowing grace, can I be the cause for Him removing grace?
'For by Grace are you saved, through faith, and that NOT OF YOURSELVES, it is the gift of God-not of works lest any man should boast'. Eph. 2:8-9

Don't you have to recognize it, acknlowledge it, to receive it?
Gotta have faith too.
sounds kinda like a formula.
but so are relationships-
Have a formula for that?
There are basic elements for sure -
That cannot be left out.
I don't want to start naming them...
Marriage is a commitment that God ordained.
He does have a formula...I think..and it has alot to do with understanding grace.
I think that formulas are mans attempt to create artificially what God made naturally. I am my fathers son whether I recognize that fact or not. Somethings are true without my acknowledgment or even my acceptance. Now whether or not I ENJOY its benefits is another thing! In that sense, grace is like the gift of a car. It belongs to me whether or not I receive it but until I take the keys, turn the ignition and put the pedal to the metal..I miss out on most of the benefits of having a car! What do you think?
